Joanna R. Linsteadt, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist serving the Coastal Bend community with a reputation for compassionate, patient-centered digestive healthcare. A Corpus Christi native raised in nearby Portland, Texas, Dr. Linsteadt has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of patients throughout South Texas.
Dr. Linsteadt graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi before earning her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as a prestigious Long Presidential Scholar. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at UT Health San Antonio, where she later served as Chief Resident before completing her fellowship in Gastroenterology.
Since returning to Corpus Christi in 2016, Dr. Linsteadt has been committed to delivering expert gastrointestinal care with a personalized approach. She specializes in diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders, including GERD, peptic ulcer disease, celiac disease, SIBO, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, colon polyps, gastrointestinal bleeding and multiple other conditions. Patients value her attentive bedside manner, thorough explanations, and commitment to comprehensive care.
Dr. Linsteadt is affiliated with several leading healthcare institutions in the region, including HCA Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional and CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital. She accepts most major insurance plans, and she will be seeing patients within the Coastal Digestive Care clinic in partnership with Surgical Associates of Corpus Christi.
Outside of her regular medical practice, Dr. Linsteadt enjoys spending time with her family and leading the adult and youth music ministries of her church. She serves on the board of the Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy and volunteers locally for the Compassionate Care Clinic.
